Course Description
To provide staff with the knowledge and resources required to understand their roles and responsibilities in emergency management. To acquire the required skills in emergency planning, response and recovery. Emergency preparedness involves developing and implementing plans to effectively respond to a wide range of potential emergencies, including natural disasters (floods, earthquakes), utility failures (power outages, IT outages), bomb threats, workplace violence, and other critical incidents.

healthcare settings.
- Describe the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) structure and key
roles.
- Identify essential components of an Emergency Operations Plan.
